LAKEWAY TAKES OUT TWO UDIA (WA) 2009 AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE
We are proud to announce that at the WA branch of the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s (UDIA) 2009 Awards for Excellence held on the 7th September 2009, the Town of Claremont received two awards for its Lakeway Drive-in Redevelopment. The first was the Rising Star Award for a developer that has never entered the Awards for Excellence previously. The second was for the best residential development under 250 lots.
Debra Goostrey, CEO UDIA (WA), said “Lakeway is positioned in a prime location overlooking Lake Claremont on a site steeped in local history. The Town of Claremont has done a fantastic job in retaining 30% of the site for public open space and maintaining its natural features. All the award winners in 2009 reflect the commitment of the property industry to excellence and returning a dividend to the community. The criteria for all categories are very stringent and only cutting edge projects have a chance at securing one of these high profile awards”
